Pipeline Integrity

Hardisty Pipeline

Husky monitors and manages its 30,000 kilometres of pipelines from design and construction through to operation, maintenance and abandonment using its Pipeline Integrity Management Program.

The program, with the goal of improved integrity and a reduced incident rate, provides for a risk assessment which demands accelerated levels of response. Those range from a quantitative risk assessment on an as-needed basis, to a baseline assessment conducted every five years, to a consequence based assessment done annually.

The Pipeline Integrity Management Program includes a training and education component, an assessment of gaps in the program and the application of engineering specifications.
