Husky has contributed to the social and economic fabric of communities for more than 80 years and is now playing a role to help combat the challenges our people, community partners and communities are facing due to COVID-19. Our $750,000 COVID-19 Relief Fund is helping with response efforts in our local operating communities.

#3Things4Neighbours is a challenge between Calgary business leaders to demonstrate three acts of kindness organizations are doing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Husky CEO Rob Peabody talks about how Husky helped communities during #COVID19.

United Way

To deliver support quickly and where it's needed most, we are donating funds through the United Way, in regions where we operate, assisting vulnerable populations by providing access to essential services such as health supports, food security and shelter:

Indigenous and Other Local Communities

Husky is supporting its priority Indigenous community partners throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan and other local communities to address urgent needs and appeals.

Supporting Fort McMurray

In response to COVID-19 and the recent flooding in Fort McMurray, we are supporting the Wood Buffalo Food Bank and Northern Lights Health Foundation with a donation of $12,500 to meet the urgent needs of local residents.

Our People

Through our employee giving program HuskyGives, we launched a special 2:1 corporate match campaign for employees in Canada. For every dollar donated by an employee, Husky gave two, collectively donating about $200,000 to support select COVID-19 community relief efforts.

Husky recognizes that volunteering does not look the same right now and we continue to support employees who want to make a meaningful contribution through their volunteer efforts. While keeping employees safe, Husky is providing virtual volunteering opportunities and resources, so they can continue to help during these challenging times.

myHusky Stations

myHusky station operators and their teams are keeping communities moving by serving customers, essential workers and professional drivers. myHusky locations are serving free coffee to professional drivers and giving away take-out meals at select Husky House Restaurants from May 7 to June 18, 2020.
